Please meet our dear boy Oscar. Oscar is a very loving and affectionate 2 year old Labrador Cross breed boy of medium size. He is actually a very sweet boy who has been totally mis-understood and who has now found himself in rescue and needing to find a very loving and understanding home. Oscar is a really good boy and is trying so hard to please his foster mum who he has bonded with really well. He is very affectionate and loves to be rewarded by mental and physical stimulation, his tennis ball, Kong treat which he will play with for ages or some lovely long walks over fields.
Oscar is extremely good in the home and is really happy to settle in his warm and comfy bed by the fire. He is non destructive and just loves the company of someone being around. Life is very simple in his mind and he likes a calm and quiet home where he knows he is loved and secure. That’s all he asks for. Oscar is well behaved on his walks and is off lead enjoying the countryside and where he can run around with new doggy friends he meets on the way. He loves a game of chase if they so choose, but he never goes far from his foster mum and always comes back when he is called.
Oscar is currently in foster with another resident doggy companion. He could be homed with another suitable resident dog or be the only dog in the household but would have great joying meeting up with other dogs on his walks he could play with. Oscar walks really nicely on a lead and does not pull. He readily gives you a “paw” and knows “sit”. Once settled into his new home, Oscar would do really well with some one to one training from his new owners to learn more basic command training and this will help develop a strong bond between himself and his new owners which will give him more confidence in general.
Oscar is looking for a calm and quiet adult only home where he is more understood than in his previous life where people were out at work all day and occupied with children. He is a real pleasure to have and just needs a home where he will not be stressed and told off for being a young dog, although he is so calm now for just only 2 years of age. an adult home will certainly find Oscar a wonderful, affectionate and loving addition to their home. It may take him a bit longer to bond with the man of the household but with a loving and caring role model in his adoptive dad rather than a domineering role, Oscar soon warms to them. The only thing oscar would not be good with is cats or small furries!
Oscar is house trained and sleeps well all night. He travels well in the car. He would love a stress free life but to be able to go on lovely long walks off lead. Oscar would do better to be homed in a quiet location. If the need arises Oscar's foster mum is always happy to look after Oscar if his owners go away on holiday rather than put him in kennels as he feels happy and safe with her and she loves him very much. For more information about Oscar please speak with his foster mum Jackie who will be happy able to elaborate more. Oscar is a very lovely boy who is no trouble at all in the right hands and with the right guidance.
Oscar is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and flea treated.
Oscar is currently in foster in Roydon, Essex. We are looking to home him fairly local although for the right home, would consider neighbouring counties or further afield as a home check will be done.
If you feel you can offer our lovely boy Oscar a wonderful forever home, please speak with Jackie on 0781 554 7667 and fill out an adoption form as fully as possible with all your details.
