Please meet our lovely girl Odette.
Odette is a very loving and affectionate, two year old medium size Mixed Breed girl. She was abandoned on a beach and lived with other dogs from the food tourists provided for them.
As the summer ended, the sea shore restaurants closed and the tourists disappeared. No more food was available for the dogs who were then rounded up by the dog catchers.
Odette and three other dogs was rescued by a friend of ours who was on holiday there and had befriended them. She has spent the last 12 months in a private shelter. Her time has now come to book her ticket to freedom and find her forever home.
Despite her sad past, Odette has remained cheerful and affectionate. She laps every opportunity to be loved. As you can see she loves a tummy tickle.
Will you be that special person who can show Odette that life can have a purpose and love be given forever?
The ideal home will need to have an understanding of the needs of a rescue dog and realise that it will take a little bit of time for Odette to adjust to her new life. However, her sweet nature and her craving for affection will go a long way to get her where you want her to be.
As Odette has not lived as part of a family with children, we will only consider applications from adult adopters or older children. Odette is very good with our friend's 12 years old son.
Odette will join us between 24 September and 8 October. She will hold a valid pet passport, is vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed. All she needs now is her the ticket to freedom.
Odette will be in foster in London within a reasonable distance to the M25.
For home checking purpose we favour applications from adopters who reside in London or neighbouring counties although we will consider enquiries from further afield for the right home.
If you feel that Odette could be your forever friend, please submit an adoption form available from
Lea Valley Dog Rescue. You can also call Yasmina on 0781 554 7667.
