Please meet our handsome Max.
Max is a very handsome Chihuahua cross boy of about 2-3 years old.
He has a very sweet character most of the time and is loving and affectionate and loves to play with his toys including balls or a tugger.
Max also loves his walks in quiet areas where he is left along to enjoy himself without any bother from other dogs. However somewhere in his past we think he must have been attacked by another dog as he becomes quite frightened of other dogs when out and about and will bark at them.
However, Max lives happily with the other small dogs he is in foster with and there is no problem at all with them and he accepts the other dogs well. For this reason it would be lovely for Max to find a forever home with another suitable resident doggy companion in order to have a friend to live with, even though he gets upset with dogs outside of the house.
On walks he uses a harness and ordinary lead (not extendable) as this is better to have control over him if you do come across other dogs. Someone who has previous dog experience or experience with frightened smaller dogs will not be put off by this and will be able to cope with Max fine. In the home Max is an adorable companion and playmate and will be a wonderful friend to his new owners.
Max could live with older, dog savy children or in an adult only household.
Max loves to cuddle up with you of an evening on the settee. He is also food orientated and will do anything for a treat, including doing a little dance for you, so with some more training Max should have the scope to improve quite a lot in the right hands.
Max would love to hear from you if you think you are the right home who could offer him the right guidance, love and patience in order for him to overcome his problem that was dealt to him in the past. He has his whole life ahead of him and he would just love to become a normal dog again and live life to the full. He does like dogs and could happily life with them - he just gets frightened of them in the big outside world. Bearing in mind he is a very small size, his owner has to have the understanding of what strange dogs look like to him from where he stands!
Max is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
Max is currently in foster in Welwyn, Hertfordshire. We are looking to home him in or around this area or neighbouring counties as a home check will be done, although further afield may be possible for the right home.
If you feel you can offer Max a wonderful forever home, please speak with Lynne on 07766 660825 for more information and a chat about Max and fill out an Adoption Form on our website with all your details.
